Planning a wedding from head to toe and trying to run a design firm at the same time is impossible. Many avenues of my business had to suffer, as they could not get my full attention. My blogs were two of the most neglected parts of my world. It was hard not sharing my experiences with you, it's my therapy! Now, trying to get back to business has proven to be a challenge and a half. It's funny how some clients can disappear at will, living their life on their terms, yet can become unaccepting when you have chosen to finally take some time off- even to do something as important as GET MARRIED! It doesn't happen very often that a client cares nothing about you and views you as merely the labor that puts their (whole entire home) together. There are many clients that actually understand that, in addition to their designer, I am also a mother of four gorgeous children, a wife, a businesswoman, a creative. I have family, and friends. I like dancing and movies, culture and fine dining. There are so many months that go by consisting solely of planning, designing, meeting, researching and the highlight of those months are the few hours you get to network with others at some stuffy function hosted by a vendor serving small bites of food in decorative glassware. There are times when the life of a designer is either all or nothing at all. Well, I am trying to change that!
My new approach to life is "GRAB IT"! If you want it, take it! If you're good at it, prove it! Sadly enough, if nobody knows, it doesn't seem to count. I design gorgeous and unique interiors and I WILL change the way Arizona sees interior design! Neutral, Tuscan boredom... you're going down!
